We moved to the Peak District in 2011 after many years of living and working in London. At this stage we were unable to truly live the dream of ‘escaping to the country’ as we continued with our professions and commuting. However, we embraced an opportunity to take on a unit and open a real ale shop in Eyam in 2015.

Our focus was on selling local ales and ciders from around the area with a view to brewing our own ales. In 2017 Eyam Brewery was established in the unit next to our shop. As demand grew we struggled with production so in 2019 we expanded the brewery, but still with every step of the process being done by hand. We are now based in a neighbouring village, Great Hucklow.

In 2026 we opened our taproom in Tideswell. The story continues………..
