It’s all about timing

We got the new brewery set up and producing beer by late October 2019. Turning into winter as an inexperienced brew outfit, we didn’t realise how much forward selling is done fro the Christmas period. However, every day is a school day and we gained that knowledge for the future.

We continued to supply our own shop and the wholesale customer base was slowly growing until ‘that’ happened in March 2020. You know…… ‘that’.

What a time to have committed to expanding the brewery, how were we going to pay the bills? Well, between the public turning to us for the delivery service we were able to give while the brewing giants shut down their operations, and the government support at the time, we muddled through. With every drop brewed going into bottle, the days were long, and physically brutal, but who knew we’d be considered key workers!
