Just before Christmas, Parcelforce upped their beer box breakage to an impressive 40% at which point we had to pull the plug on UK wide deliveries due to taking such financial hit. Rubbish service (having been pretty good for some time beforehand), which led to us giving rubbish service to our customers at the time of year people want to treat themselves to something they might have enjoyed on holiday earlier in the year.

Anyway, we have been looking to restart deliveries, but it’s just so difficult for a company our size as courier companies have got greedy since covid. Minimum weekly invoices of £50 or even £100 to have a business account with them means that it’s great in busy weeks, but in a quiet one it could cost us £100 to send one box or even none! I guess filling executive carparks with land rover’s finest doesn’t come cheap ;)

Concurrently, it was time to brush up our website and this one was born. With it we’re now taking orders for courier delivery and will be on a rather expensive pay-as-we-go service for now. We may get to a point where the service retainer figures make sense for us….. let’s see.
